High-speed Insertion and Defect Detection Line for Rotor Magnetic Steel of New Energy Drive Motors

2025-10-17

Project outcome

Cycle time: 2.2 seconds per piece (68 pieces completed in 27 seconds) → 162 pieces per hour

Repeatability and positioning: ±0.05 mm, yield rate 99.7%

One-shift reduction of 3 people, efficiency increase of 65%, ROI within 9 months

Project Background

The manual insertion of magnetic steel is prone to cracking and polarity reversal. Inserting 68 magnetic steel pieces alone takes 9 minutes, and the yield rate is only 96%.

Key technologies: Esteron ER20-1800 six-axis + Hikvision 100 million pixel 3D structured light vision

The Siren upper computer API is used to call Esteron's motion control in real time. The incoming magnetic steel pieces adopt a "clip + vibration sorting" dual-channel method. The Hikvision AI model conducts online learning on cracks, missing corners, and polarity reversal defects, achieving "edge insertion and inspection" at 0.3 seconds per piece.
